Student traineeship


Want to experience all things De Brauw? Apply for a full time, two-month traineeship in our Corporate or Litigation practice groups. Student trainees are paid a monthly allowance and travel expenses are reimbursed. If you’re an ambitious Dutch student in the third year of a bachelor’s programme, or studying for your master’s, we hope you’ll apply. Applicants selected for our shortlist will be invited for an online assessment and an  interview.

Law assistant positions


Looking for a part-time gig where you can earn while you learn? Apply for a position as one of our law assistants. We offer employment contracts in either Corporate or Litigation for a minimum of eight months and 15 hours per week. Although many of our legal assistants have completed an internship at De Brauw, it is not a requirement. Applicants selected for our shortlist will be invited for an online assessment and an interview.

Arbitration
De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek has an opening for student associates within the International Arbitration practice in our Amsterdam office. We are looking for students, who should be available for at least one year. It is a fantastic opportunity to get hands-on experience in an international law firm that will undoubtedly help your understanding of the international arbitration arena. We are looking for candidates that – like us – are passionate about this area of expertise and interested to find out more about the work that goes into supporting a commercial law firm. You will be required to be available one or two days a week.

We are looking for students who are enthusiastic and driven and who have excellent English language skills. Speaking/writing Dutch is not a requirement.

Intellectual Property
Our Litigation sector is looking for a student associate with a keen interest in IP Law, who is available for at least eight months.

As a student associate you will work for two days a week. The work activities consist of a combination of ‘know how’ work and participate in the daily practice (literature and jurisprudence research, prepare presentations and participate in intern studies).

We are looking for students who are enthusiastic and driven and who have verifiable affinity with IP Law.

Regulatory and Criminal Enforcement
Our Regulatory sector is looking for a student associate with interest in Regulatory and Criminal Enforcement who is available for a minimum of eight months. This practice group has the main focus on advising and representing major corporations, financial institutions and prominent individuals in a wide range of regulatory and criminal enforcement matters regarding inter alia securities laws, insider trading, competition law, economic sanctions, anti-corruption laws and other regulatory regimes.

As a student associate you will work two days a week. The work activities consist of a combination of ‘know how’ work and participate in the daily practice (literature and jurisprudence research, prepare presentations and participate in intern studies).

We are looking for students who are enthusiastic and driven and who have verifiable affinity with financial criminal law!

Competition and Regulation
Our Regulatory sector is looking for a student associate with a keen interest in Competition & Regulation (C&R), who is available for a at least one year. This practice is active across almost the entire spectrum of competition and regulatory law. We serve multinational clients globally – in enforcement actions, transactions and strategic advice – but with an emphasis on Europe.

As a student associate, you will work two days a week (a total of 15 hours). The work duties consist of a combination of ‘know-how’ work and participation in the daily practice (including literature and jurisprudence research and preparation of presentations).

We are looking for students who are enthusiastic, driven, and who have a verifiable affinity with administrative law (with a little environmental law and energy law thrown in) and/or European and/or Dutch competition law.

Financial Markets Regulation
Corporate section is looking for a student associate with interest in Financial Markets Regulation who is available for one year. This practice group has the main focus on advising financial firms on complex matters driven or affected by the supervision of the financial services industry.

As a student associate you will work two days a week. The work activities consist of keeping our web tool with which we inform our clients (large national and international groups of banks, insurance companies, investment firms and other financial firms in M&A and capital markets transactions) daily about financial markets actualities on (inter)national and European level updated. Therefore you will read multiple papers concerning financial markets regulation (both in Dutch and English), summarize them and publicize your work.

We are looking for students who are enthusiastic and driven and who have verifiable affinity with the WFT.

Corporate know-how pool
Our Corporate section is looking for student associates to join our Corporate know-how pool.

As a student associate you will work two days a week. The work activities consist of a combination of ‘know how’ work and participate in the daily practice (literature and jurisprudence research, prepare presentations and participate in intern studies).

We are looking for students who are enthusiastic and driven and who have verifiable affinity with the Corporate practice.

The Brewery


Are you an English-speaking graduate looking for a career as a global lawyer? The Brewery is a full-time, six-month scheme of intensive training and development where you’ll develop all the skills that are essential in practice—from writing and giving presentations to drafting contracts and negotiating. Your development will include a three-month part-time secondment with a client or an international organisation.
