Senior HR Business Partner

We are looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to help our lawyers excel in their ambitions.

About the role

As a HR Business Partner you are part of the HR department, which consists of Recruitment, Learning and Development, HR Services, and Staffing / FlexPool / HRBP’s. There are four Business Partners; two for legal and two for the non-legal part of our firm. This vacancy is for the position of HRBP for legal, in particular for our firm’s Senior Associates of Litigation (80 Head Count).

In this role, you translate our firm’s strategy into a clear people agenda. You act and perform as a business consultant, with an outside-in view and are able to translate external influences in business and people themes. You proactively maintain contact with our lawyers about their personal development and well-being, and arrange procedures such as secondments, as well as managing absenteeism and employee exits. Once a year, you run the performance management cycle; at times acting as a sort of performance coach, while also managing the process and ensuring follow-up actions (coaching, development managing, etc.). Besides this, you participate in projects for the development of new policies and ensure this development fits and benefits our Senior Associates group in the areas of: diversity, succession planning, empowerment, performance management, and other strategic areas where you see room for improvement.

 

Who are you?

You are the go-to person for personal matters, and proactively maintain contact with our lawyers. Together with Central Staffing, you advise on personal and development issues. You work closely with your colleagues within Recruitment, Learning and Development and your fellow HR Business Partners and other teams within our firm.

We are looking for someone with:

  • an academic degree;
  • 8+ years of experience in HR;
  • experience with developing professionals (experience in learning and development, talent- and performance management);
  • experience in change management and/or business consultancy;
  • excellent writing and communication skills in both Dutch and English;
  • a proactive and data driven approach;
  • exceptional stakeholder management skills;
  • excellent coaching skills;
  • a passion for working in a team;
  • experience in a professional service firm is a plus.
