Law assistant Financial Markets Regulation

Our corporate Financial Markets Regulation (FMR) practice group is looking for a student associate with interest in financial markets regulation, who is available for at least eight months. This practice group has the main focus on advising financial firms (large national and international groups of banks, insurance companies, investment firms and other financial firms) on complex matters driven or affected by the supervision of the financial services industry.

About the role

As a student associate you will work two days a week. The work activities consist of keeping our web tool with, which we inform our FMR lawyers daily about financial markets actualities on (inter)national and European level, updated. Therefore you will read multiple documents concerning financial markets regulation (both in Dutch and English) to decide whether they are linked to the correct theme in the web tool. Furthermore you will assist the FMR practice group Lawyers and the Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) with research on issues related to financial markets regulation.

The ideal candidate for this position:
•has affinity with the Wft (Wet op het financieel toezicht);
•is a second or third year Bachelor or Master student with good study results;
•is available for at least eight months;
•is a precise worker;
•has excellent command of the Dutch and English language;
