Procurement Manager

The role

The Procurement Manager will source local and international suppliers, negotiate and manage contracts, and build key external and internal relationships.
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating procurement activities in the firm and for getting the goods or services the firm needs at the right time.

Who you are

The ideal candidate will:

  • Design and utilise effective procurement and sourcing strategies, ensuring that the procurement process is transparent throughout the firm
  • Organise and prioritise firmwide purchasing activities;
  • Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business partnerships;
  • Negotiate (and renegotiate) contracts and agreements with external vendors to secure advantageous terms;
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements;
  • Examine and test existing contracts and agreements;
  • Collaborate with key persons within the organisation to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the firm;
  • Build relationships externally (suppliers) and internally to best assist those for whom you are doing the buying;
  • Know all about sourcing and procurement techniques, and be able to ”read” the market;
  • Build a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs;
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and be extremely resourceful;


Job Requirements

  • Higher professional degree (HBO)
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in the professional services industry, preferably in a similar position and sector
  • Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager or Procurement Officer
  • Analytical and having an “always improving” mindset
  • Excellent communication skills
